It is less than a month before the upcoming Greek Election on July 7th 2019 and the political parties have been working full-speed. One of the major reasons behind the impressive defeat of the current Government, SYRIZA, has been interpreted as the overall disappointment of the middle class in Greece. It is true that these are the people who have suffered the most, from increasing taxation and decreasing salaries. So it is a huge bet for SYRIZA and Mr. Alexis Tsipras to win them over, with only such a tiny time margin ahead.

On the other hand, New Democracy and Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has been transparent about middle class. There is nothing new as to the difficulties that Greece has been facing all these years with Memoranda. However, nowadays it is all about investments. It is widespread as a concept that the country is in desperate need of investments and development in all aspects. There are properties that ought to be put to good use, so as to result in a spike in employment and revenue. Then, bureaucracy needs to be minimized with every means possible. Competitive countries in the Balkans have been working high speed, aiming at businesses from all over the world. Greece must become competitive, with high quality digital services and an investment-friendly environment.

As all the political parties in Greece have announced their plans for governing the country after July 7th, it is up to the people to decide. In the country, there is a peculiar devising atmosphere. There are two poles, each fighting against the other wholeheartedly. But there are many other people who do not see any of these poles as the solution to their problems. They do not regard them as competent to speak on their behalf. And ultimately, it is their decision as to who to vote that will determine the forthcoming developments in Greece.
