Giannis Antetokounmpo MVP at NBA Awards

Giannis Antetokounmpo or else the Greek Freak is definitely living the dream in the US! The star of Milwaukee Bucks was drafted in 2013 and has been following an upward trajectory ever since. And this time, it is the Kia NBA MVP Award that has made all of us here in Greece proud!

So Giannis has done it again. He was named Most Valuable Player for NBA season 2018-2019 and it is a great honor! Scoring 27.7 points on average, gaining 12.5 rebounds per game and guiding his team to the Eastern Conference finals, he most certainly deserves this. It was something that Giannis Antetokounmpo anticipated for a long time, being the best player in the league, even though his ambitions do not stop there.

Upon receiving the award, Giannis burst into tears. He gave an emotional speech, thanking God and then his team and of course his family and hometown. Later on, he expressed his deep gratitude for his late father, Charles, who had taught him a lot. And he shared his next ambition, which is to win the NBA Championship. Obviously, Giannis could not settle for anything less than that.

Ever since he joined the NBA, Giannis has left his mark. An intense personality, a hard-worker, a driven athlete and man. We wish him all the best and can’t wait to cheer on his next achievements!
